Following is a small set of photographs I have taken over many years in many places. Whenever I travel, I seek subject matter for new paintings. I attempt to plan the composition in such a way that I don't have to work from many "reference" photos to compose one painting. My approach to painting is to paint the subject as I see it and not to manipulate the composition in such a way as to create a scene that, while visually pleasing, doesn't exist.
Some of these photos have been cropped and others have been adjusted to correct color errors due to processing but, otherwise, these photos have not been manipulated in any way.
