The next painting in the series is a painting of Devon Gregory’s eyes. To me, his eyes are fascinating and most of the images I have taken of Devon focus on his eyes. I wanted to capture them on canvas. The new painting is 48 inches by 36 inches. Acrylic on Canvas. While the background is not the same color as the others in the series, I have again chosen to use a neutral tone. The original intent in the series was to work with four neutrals as backgrounds for the various works, choosing the neutral which enhanced the image best. In this case, I felt the neutral I have used on the other paintings would not have emphasized the eyes enough. This is why I chose the darker neutral.
