Hi all,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! This year, I’m going to start something new on the site. I’m going to post blog entries as I have something to share/say. These posts will be me discussing works in progress, upcoming exhibitions, and topics related to painting and the practice/business of art. As a competitor as well as a juror, I’ll also be posting on submission to shows at different stages in your art career as well as what I and many jurors look for when reviewing work for a competition or an exhibition. I’ll discuss what, in my opinion, makes a strong painting. I’ll also post articles on topics such as varnishing your finished work. I feel I have a lot to contribute to my fellow artists and will use this platform as a way to do so.
